Thanksgiving Day
For Thanksgiving I am thankful for so many people, things, and, animals. I'm thankful for my parents, for leading me to make the right decisions and letting me grow and mature well. Also for my grandparents for always being happy and fun when I go to see them, and for my friends who are mostly always there whenever I need them. I'm thankful for my dog because she is full of joy and always cheers me up. Also for having God in my life because he has been a big part of it. My favorite tradition is what I just had yesterday actually when my family goes to Kentucky and we have an extended family reunion with a buffet all with homemade food. We all play games and talk and have a really good time. On Thanksgiving Day we go to a friends house and eat which we're basically family so it's really cool because we eat really good food and watch some movies and have a great time. The best Thanksgiving I have ever had would be when I was 10 and when we went to Kentucky it was the best day because it wasn't that cold and all the kids went outside to play football. Then we went inside and played cards and other games. When I was younger we used to all watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving as a family. The people are what makes every Thanksgiving so great.

Portrait of Portia
I did a project where I drew a portrait of Portia from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. I had an interesting idea to give the viewer a look inside her. They could take it I think one of two ways, one being the she committed suicide by eating hot coals or two that she was very conflicted. I learned that she was the daughter of Cato and that its better to commit suicide then get taken by the enemy.

You are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
My favorite bible verse is Psalm 139:14, it has been my favorite since I was a little kid. It says "I will praise Him because I am fearfully and wonderfully made" it may be short, but very meaningful to me. I like this verse because it reminds you that everyone was made in the image of God, and whatever you do do it for Him. I have known this verse for as long as I can remember; it really means a lot to me because I never had a lot of friends when I was younger and I always said this to remind me that it didn't matter because He was. I remember in 4th grade I got reminded of that verse at the end of the year when my teacher gave it to me. By then I had not really said it or given it much thought, but after that it really meant a lot.

Great Goals for Freshmans!
http://www.scrapbookpresentations.com/animations/images/alphabet_a.gif The A represents good grades |
I think for my goals the main one I would focus on is academics. Academics is very important to me because it helps you get a good GPA to get into a good college. Another important one is sports or specifically volleyball. I want to get better in volleyball to become a better athlete and a good team mate. Last but not least, I want to have a good spiritual life as well, I think this is very important as you go into high school as you're making really big decisions.
